NCQAC Offers Nurse Consultant Program

To:  Chief Nursing Officer, Directors of Nursing, and Deans of Nursing Programs

The Nursing Commission recently developed a Nurse Consultant (NCs) program.

The roles of the Nursing Consultants are liaisons to the Nursing Community. The goals of the NCs are to ensure the Nursing Community has the latest changes in regulations affecting Nurses.  This improves Nursing practice, increases patient safety, identifies, and prevents nursing errors.

Presentations available to your facility are:

  • Commission 101
  • Scope of Practice
  • Introduction to the Disciplinary Process
  • Continued Competency
  • Early Remediation Program
  • Washington Health Professional Services Program and the complaint/disciplinary process
  • Information on the complaint process and the type of evidence needed for each type of complaint

Please contact Linda Patterson to reserve a date and time for presentations at your facility.
