UW School of Nursing Holds No. 1 Ranking for Unprecedented 27 Years
The University of Washington School of Nursing has once again been ranked first among nursing schools in the country, according to rankings of 464 schools of nursing provided this week by U.S. News & World Report. The School of Nursing has the distinction of holding this ranking for 27 years without interruption and this year was joined in this top ranking by two privately funded universities, Johns Hopkins University and the University of Pennsylvania.
“This very special recognition reflects the exceptional quality and commitment of our faculty, staff and students,” said Dean Marla Salmon. “However, being No. 1 carries with it the deep responsibility for improving health and advancing nursing’s capacity to meet the health care needs of the public. We are dedicated to this purpose and will continue in this very important work."
